Pro-HMB is of the purest natural source and research has shown that HMB may assist in preventing catabolism (muscle breakdown), which can often occur when performing intense forms of exercise. Hindering any catabolic (muscle breakdown) effects means the body will simply be placed in a better position for muscle growth. Research has demonstrated that an intake of 3grams a day of HMB to be most effective. Ideal times to take Pro-HMB are 1.5g (3 capsules) immediately before and after exercise. On non-training days space intake of 3 grams evenly throughout the day.
