PhD Nutrition 2:1 Recover Bodybuilding Supplement - 2:1 Recover is a high quality, post workout bodybuilding supplement from PhD Nutrition. Each serving delivers creatine and glutamine.
The Post Exercise drink is the single most important meal of the day for all athletes seeking maximum recovery, glycogen and amino acid replenishment and physical progress, both aesthetically and on a performance level. Training hard with weights or playing a physical sport for 45-90 minutes is an extremely stressful and taxing event, to do so and not fully replenish nutrient stores is the biggest mistake you can make as an athlete and the primary stumbling block in the pursuit of continual progress.
PhD Nutrition's Recovery 2:1 contains a precision 2:1 ratio of fast and slow acting carbohydrates and the most bio-available protein sources available to produce the perfect post exercise recovery drink. PhD Dual Action Glycogen-Replenishment System, Fast & Slow carb re-load is a combination of waxy barley starch, dextrose and whey protein. Most of you will have heard of waxy maize starch. Well, PhD are the first to introduce to the market, Waxy Barley Starch.
Waxy Barley Starch is exceptionally low GI, contains healthy naturally-occurring beta glucans and unlike maltodextrin and maize starch, brings you all the goodness and health benefits of barley. So whilst Recovery 2:1 provides the ultra-fast acting protein source Whey Protein Isolate for instant protein synthesis and the fast-acting carbohydrate source, Dextrose, for immediate glycogen replenishment, Recovery 2:1 also ensures that after the initial “spike” of blood sugar needed for an anabolic effect, the Waxy Barley Starch produces a sustained release for maximum satiety and fullness. Recovery 2:1 will not leave you feeling shaky, weak and hungry within 30 minutes of drinking them like other post-workout drinks that simply contain sugars and whey protein.
When used in conjunction with a healthy diet and active lifestyle, Recovery 2:1 may assist with:

THis is a fantastic supplement, I have tried endless amounts of powders, all in ones and mixing up my own and this is brilliant. I felt better after a workout, body felt leaner and I was gaining size. Great price too, worth a try. Berry blast is nice flavour too.

I have suffered from M.E since 1996 particulary after exercise. However i recently started using Rego Recovery and found it to be an amazing help for my body to recover with no ill effects after exercise. Highly recomend it to anyone like myself whose body struggles to recover normally like the average person does.

Only recently found this product, was struggling for an easy to use and effetive post training carb:protein and have to say VERY impressed. Great tasting, great consistency and a good loading of carbs to replace glycogen and protein as we expect. This saves me having to take gatorade or sumshich. Recovery defo good. Highly recomend. onto 3rd batch now!

Q & A
Q.
I am thinking about using this product but can it be used in conjunction with PHD ISO 7?? if so when should i take them all....also i have bought some PHD flapjack plus bars...when should i consume all of this. thanks
A.
Take the 2:1 after training and take the Iso-7 in the morning either before or after breakfast and 1 - 3 hours before training (depending upon how your gut handles food before training). Take the flapjacks in between meals to increase your calorie intake and gains.
Q.
I am looking to train hard and lose weight and am considering using 2:1 as a post workout shake. As I am trying to cut, does this product contain too many carbs for a post workout shake? Could you add creatine to this and which is your best selling recovery drink
A.
You should cut out the other excess sugar and starchy carbs from your diet before you start cutting down your post-workout carbs (as these are the most beneficial carbs of the day). Especially carbs eaten later in the day. So no, stick with your post-workout shake. This product contains creatine, so no need to add any although you need to take a creatine supplement daily in addition to the small amount in this product to get results.
