Description
Precise 2/1/1 ratio (Leucine/Iso leucine/Valine)
BCAA’s are branched chain amino acids consisting of 3 essential amino acids Leucine, Iso-Leucine, and Valine. They are considered essential amino acids because human beings cannot survive unless these amino acids are present in the diet. Together they comprise approximately 1/3 of human muscle tissue.

All top quality protein sources will supply all 9 essential amino acids. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein, which has been shown to increase lean muscle mass. BCAA’s have long been popular with athletes from a variety of sectors, involving strength and power, along with endurance and stamina. BCAA supplements are convenient to use and should be taken around the training window for maximum effect. PhD recommends using BCAA’s before, during and after intense exercise.

"Im a fitness instructor and ive, been using PhD BCAAs for two weeks now, seen increased workload, and prolonged definition after weights session. Havnt been taking during session just before and after, but would be good to use before fat burning cardio first thing in morning to prevent a catabolic state."

Q&A
Q Hi, I'm currently using PhD Diet Whey and I'm thinking whether or not to use BCAA's or not. First of all, can you stack any sort of BCAA's with whey protein? and secondly is there any sort of major difference between using protein shakes and BCAA's.. Also, if it would benefit stacking the two, which BCAA's would you suggest for use ? Thanks a lot!

Yes, you can stack BCAA or Whey together or with just about everything else. Whey contains ALL of the aminos you require in your diet. BCAAs are 3 aminos (one of which is leucine, the most important for muscle-building). So basically the BCAAs give you more of the most important aminos on top of what the whey supplies. Any quality BCAA product will work well (they're pretty much the same).
