Description
Glutamine is an amino acid. During intense training, your muscle L-Glutamine levels drop sharply. This, in turn decreases strength, stamina and recovery. Research demonstrates that following a rigorous workout, it may take up to six days for L-Glutamine levels to return to normal without supplementation. Without adequate levels of L-Glutamine, it is impossible for protein synthesis to occur.

L-Glutamine also increases cell volumization immediately. Volumized muscle cells appear larger, get a better pump and assist in protein synthesis. In fact, L-Glutamine helps muscle cells to utilize both protein and carbohydrates. L-Glutamine also acts as a powerful ammonia scavenger. Ammonia is a highly toxic substance to muscle cells.

Finally, L-Glutamine increases the body's ability to secrete Human Growth Hormone (HGH). HGH assists in metabolising body fat and helos to support new muscle tissue growth. Research demonstrates that the muscles can benefit from a minium of 2 to 5 additional grams of L-Glutamine daily.

Q&A
Q is creatine or Glutamine better for recovery and getting rid of lactic acid?
A

The best thing for mitigating lactic acid is taking Beta Alanine. The best thing (by far) for increasing your ability to repeately engage in sprints and powerful movements is creatine. The best thing for recovery is a whey protein + amino acid (especially leucine) + high carbohydrate shake after training and taking essential amino acids (or less-ideally BCAAs). before training. Anator or Torrent fit the bill for post and EAA Stack or EAA Nitro fit the bill for essential aminos pre-workout.

Q Hi I am looking at taking this in conjunction with my protein shake and my creatine shake is this advisable thanks Rob.
A

Hi, L-glutamine has an anti-catabolic effect, so it can enhance the effects of creatine, plus a protein shake - it would be fine to take these in conjunction with one and other.

Q Hi. Im using USN Pure Glutamine and USN Pure Protein GF-1. I am about to start using Animal M-Stak. Is this ok or not advisable..??
A

M-Stak will be fine to use in addition to those two products, as it works in a different manner to glutamine and protein, which are essentially foods/amino acids.
