Egg white (albumin) has one of the highest biological values of any protein source, and so producing an egg-based protein powder is an apt addition to Reflex® ’s extensive supplement portfolio. As a company, they pride themselves on having manufactured a product that is free from added salt, soya and other fillers, whilst delivering over 70% protein. It also contains less than 5g of carbs and 0.5g of fat, whilst being naturally rich in the full spectrum of amino acids. Egg albumin has a medium absorption rate, and so is ideal for consumption at any time of day – either post-exercise or between meals, to support your nutrition plan and training regime. Being a metabolite of the essential, branched-chain amino acid, leucine, β-hydroxy β-methylbutyrate is synthesised in the human body and forms an integral part of protein synthesis. Studies suggest supplementing between 1.5-3g daily (the recommended dose); the intake of which is said to contribute to improved strength, muscle growth and recovery. Reflex® HMB can be used before and after a workout, the capsule format allowing for ease-of-use.
