Pre-intra-post exercise formula with BCAA’s
Battery+/-3 contains three different carbohydrate sources along with electrolytes such as sodium, potassium and magnesium, to help maintain endurance performance during exercise. Battery+/-3 is an extremely versatile product and is used successfully by strength trainers and endurance athletes alike.

How strength athletes use Battery+/-3:
Strength athletes, such as power lifters, body builders or short burst team sport participants like rugby players and mixed martial artists will use Battery+/-3 during training or games.

How endurance athletes use Battery+/-3:
Runners, cyclists and tri-athletes would use Battery+/-3 in a slightly different manner to strength athletes. More concerned with carbohydrate intake for performance and recovery, an endurance athlete would generally use Battery+/-3 during and after intense exercise. Longer-duration exercise would tend to deplete glycogen stores to a greater extent than short burst work, so during and after exercise would be the ideal periods for using Battery+/-3.

Directions
Pre-workout energy boost or carbohydrate load: Add 2 scoops of PhD Battery to 300-400ml ice cold water and shake vigorously for 5 seconds or more.

During exercise: Add 2 scoops (40 grams)of PhD Nutrition’s Battery +/-3 to 300-400ml of ice cold water and shake vigorously for 5 seconds or more.

Post workout: Add 3 scoops (60 grams) of PhD Nutrition’s Battery +/-3 to 500ml of ice-cold water and shake vigorously for 5 seconds or more.

"Was very happy with this. Tastes great and mixes well, a little strong on flavour but that keeps you in the zone! Works well and does what it says on the tub. Will definitely be buying again, great value too!"

"This is by far the best product for reducing pain in the muscles, especially the pains you get the very next morning.

Mix 3 scoops in 500ml of water (roughly 1 small water bottle). Prepare AT LEAST two bottles like this.

Start drinking (slowly) one bottle from 20mins before your workout to about halfway into it (you must plan how long your workout will take). Then start the next bottle and carry on drinking THROUGHOUT your workout till about 10mins after.

That's 6 scoops in total on workout days. That should be enough, but if you like, you can take another 1.5 scoops (in 250 ml of water) straight after your workout.

Quite a cheap product and very effective if administered correctly."

"I agree about the taste, but the flavor is awesome just a tad too strong.

Product is pretty good - loads of energy in one serving almost 1500KJ and heaps of sugar to power you through that work out."

Q is this just a cheaper form viper??

It's similar - more servings, lower price but doesn't have quite as potent an amino acid make up.

Q is this product best taken mixed in with a post workout shake such as PHD Nutrition Pharma Whey, nd exactly what results would i expect to see from use.

YOu could use it post-workout but it is designed to be taken pre-workout, as it supplies energy, electrolytes (lost in sweat) and BCAAs (aminos used during exercise). To use post workout, either mix it with or take it after your Pharma Whey.

Q What other supplements are especially designed to take during workouts, and what section of the website do they come under? Since I'm already taking pre and post workout supplements, i'm looking for something to use during the workout which will keep me going and reduce muscle pains.

On Supplement Store site, check the "Carb Powders" section (even though many of them have more than just carbs in them). The best are Intravol, Intra Aid and Size On.
