Time Released Whey Protein
Combat powder delivers 25 grams of a high quality protein blend in a tasty, easy-to-mix shake. Combat powder was formulated specifically for athletes and active individuals, their bodies demand more—and more effective—protein.

For decades, bodybuilders and athletes have known that a diet rich in quality protein is their ticket to maximizing muscle mass, strength, and power. However, consuming massive quantities of protein each day through food alone is difficult for most of us. This is why protein powders take up so much space on health food store shelves. The problem is that very few—if any—of these products truly set themselves apart from the rest. Most of the supplement companies out there seem to be okay with just delivering the status quo, the minimum.

But ask yourself—as someone who is looking into supplements to beef up your protein intake—is this what you want from your protein supplement, the minimum? Do you give your workouts your minimum effort? We didn´t think so. Getting freakishly huge and ripped is anything but status quo

Nobody understands this better than the MusclePharm Scientific Team. They painstakingly developed one of the most technologically advanced protein formulas out there. With a precision-engineered matrix that contains whey protein concentrates, hydrolysates and isolates—as well as egg albumen and micellar casein—Combat is a timed-released protein force! Since each distinct protein source in Combat digests at its own rate, amino acids don´t only flood into the bloodstream minutes after consumption, but they continuously "trickle feed" into your muscles for hours after you drink it!

Advanced time released system
To promote muscle growth and ensure proper protein utilization, MusclePharm scientists insisted on filling Combat Powder with a variety of protein blends that digest at varying rates. The added BCAAs and Glutamine support repair, recovery and nitrogen retention, and the digestive blend is fine tuned to promote nutrient utilization. Plus, they made sure it tasted great and mixes easily. Combat Powder truly is a step ahead in protein powder technology

Whey Protein Isolate: Gram for gram, highest available yield of protein from any whey protein source. WPI digests and absorbs rapidly.

Partially Hydrolyzed Whey Protein: Hydrolyzed whey is protein broken down into faster-absorbing peptides—it´s the fastest absorbing form of whey, hitting the bloodstream first. Hydrolyzed whey provides a rapid infusion of muscle-supporting amino acids.

Micellar Casein: Micellar casein digests slowly, infusing valuable amino acids over the course of several hours. Some studies show this may protect muscle tissue from breakdown over time.

Whey Protein Concentrate: Contains real subfractions such as alpha-lactoglobulins and lactoferrins.

Egg Albumen: Highly bioavailable and tolerated by most individuals, egg albumen has a high BCAA content and arginine. Egg albumen supports hormone production and the muscle building process.

Digestive Enzyme Blend: Digestive enzymes help break down food along the digestive tract so that nutrients can be absorbed into the bloodstream. Combat Powder contains 60mg of a digestive enzyme blend to aid in the digestion and absorption of key muscle-promoting proteins. The body cannot absorb what it cannot break down.

Added BCAAs and Glutamine: The branched chain amino acids L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, and L-Valine are the most critical of the essential amino acid group for helping maintain, repair and build muscle tissue. L-Leucine especially has been shown to support protein synthesis and therefore, muscle growth. L-Glutamine is an amino acid that has been suggested to support healthy immune system function. Some suggest L-Glutamine may help with recovery. Together, the added branched chain amino acids and glutamine in Combat Powder promote muscle-building and recovery. Which is why MusclePharm are proud to call Combat Their most technologically-advanced protein powder.

"So, my top flavours from best to least:

1) Cookies & Cream/Vanilla
2) Chocolate
3) Strawberry Cheesecake/Triple Berry
4) Cinnamon Bun

This product has great flavours, though they are a little too sweet for me, so I tend to add more milk than recommended to balance the sweetness out. The vanilla-based flavours and Chocolate tasted great; but I did not care much for flavour three and four; Cinnamon Bun is a major flop in my opinion... simply far too sweet. Personally I liked Combat better with milk because the taste and consistency was more like melted ice cream, but water works just as well. It mixes very easily in a shaker and doesn't leave lumps/pockets of powder. It also makes delicious protein waffles.

Overall, I did see good progress whilst using it. It is definitely a delicious, all-rounded protein source, which I would recommend to others."

"Rally good stuff. Helps me recover quickly and I am seeing results. I bought the cookies and cream and unlike other reviewers I don't like it! It just tastes sweet and artificial - not particularly like cookies. My partner has the Orange Creamsicle which is better. Won't put me off the product, just the flavour. Want to try Mint Choc Chip next."

"I got the Banana Cream flavour, and it tastes amazing, and blends in seconds with no lumps, I've only been using it a week so can't say too much about results but i do think its working, definitely recommended"

"I find the cookies and cream shake tastes like a really good milkshake you get in fastfood restaurants, it's by far my favorite whey. I'll definitely be buying this again."

"I usually stick with another brand of supplement however I thought I would try MusclePharm based on positive product reviews and I wasn't disappointed. I mix my protein with milk and find this product mixes really well, isn't lumpy and tastes nice as some protein powders sometimes have a weird taste. I will defiantly be using MusclePharm again."

Q Is this shake suitable for vegetarians

Q Hi what ingredient does this shake contain that makes it unsuitable for vegetarians? Are all the flavours unsuitable for vegetarians?

Some amino acids are produced from animal hair and feathers, so this could be a possible reason. We would have said that this product is suitable for vegetarians and we couldn’t find anything on the label saying it is or isn’t OK for vegetarians. We recommend you contact Muscle Pharm direct for more information.

Q is is suitable for halal diet

I contacted MusclePharm regarding this query, and one of their representatives has informed me that Combat (or any other whey/mass product within the range) cannot be deemed as suitable for vegetarians, or carry Halal certification.

Q Is it alright to take othe Bcaa supplements alongside with the ones in the protein powder?

Yeah that is fine.

Q Is this one of the best shakes for taking prior to bedtime?

Yes but a better option would be the new Muscle Pharm Casein.

Q Is this protein both fast and slow digesting? will it be useful prior to a workout or should i stick to using it before bed?

It's both fast and slow as it's a blend of proteins which will give a steady release of aminos during a period of several hours, can be taken anytime during the day/post workout or before bed.

Q Will you stock up chocolate or cookies and cream flavour anytime soon?

We should do soon, hopefully. Please continue to check our website for updates.

Q Hi, I was simply wondering when y'all may be getting in some of the other flavours. Thank you, Randal

Hi,  Unfortunately, we’re still awaiting re-stock of quite a few MusclePharm products, partially due to the crossover with the new Arnold range.

Q When will you re-stock?

Many products from the MusclePharm range are being reformulated (including Combat) and thus, we are awaiting their arrival. We anticipate this to be within the next couple of weeks; please continue to check our website and Facebook page for updates.

Q Is Hydrolyzed Beef Protein in Musclepharm Iron Mass Halal,if not is it possible to start producing halal beef protein as it will help lot of Muslims to consume this product.

Hi Khurshed, We are the importer and distributor of this product but we don't actually produce it and so we have no input on how the company who makes it chooses ingredients. I agree, we get loads of requests from Muslims and Jews who would prefer Halal or Kosher meat. I would suggest emailing MuscleMeds and if they get enough feedback, I'm sure they'd consider it.

Q is this product gluten free please?

There are no ingredients that would be expected to contain gluten but it doesn't state that it is gluten free, so we can't be sure that tiny amounts aren't present.

Q is muscle pharm combat powder kosher?

Hi Ita I can't 100% confirm but it is primarily made from milk protein with a bit of egg, with amino acids, flavours and sweeteners. No pork or other meat ingredients. So in that sense, it seems kosher.
